Hi all,
this weeks Wednesday paddle is at 1900 from Bullock, C.Clissmann presiding.
At present the forecast is benign (\"Top temperatures will reach values of between 13 and 17 degrees in a light to moderate mainly west to northwest wind, warmer in the east and south of the country\"). How do people feel about a spin down to Bray ? Post here in reply - if I hear nothing back, I\'ll decide on the day, but bring whatever you would usually bring in order to do that spin. That said, the tide will be flooding chunkily, so we may decide it\'s too much like hard work... by all means, post your thoughts here!
Follow this thread tomorrow and Weds for updates.

If we creep along close to shore maybe the \"chunkilies\" won\'t notice us...??
Hope to be there.

Re:East Coast Weds 16 May
Hi again
As you can see from the table below (Dublin NWall), it\'ll be flooding North from Bray from about 1630 onwards, and be in the full of itself when we hit the sea at 1900.
If we started in Bray at 1900, and were in Dalkey by 2030 or so, there\'d certainly be less flow against us than if we started in Dalkey. But I wouldn\'t be optimistic about getting back to Bray before about 2200 all the same, allowing for a cuppa on the island.
Anyway, the wind forecast is up now, to Fresh to Strong, so I think Bray to Dalkey isn\'t really on. Instead, unless we change our minds on the day, we\'ll likely stay around the islands. Which, in the full of the flood with a southwesterly, will probably provide all the entertainment we want.

Ciaran,
I know it is likely weather dependant on the day, but what level paddler are you reckoning on as capable? Do you need to wait see Wednesday as the wind forecast is not obvious? Thanks (would like to go but probably not up to F6 or gale standards yet!)

Forecast is now for F3 or F4, though the Met are weaseling around a bit. So the meet is ON, at 1900 in Bullock.
Dermot, by all means come along - we likely won\'t go to Bray so the pace won\'t be excessive.
Incidentally, out on the bike last night and it was more or less bright almost to ten o\'clock!
