strangford week end
we`ll base ourselves at a campsite just outside Strangford village on the south side of the lough map ref 582490 on sheet 21--it`s owned by the National Trust(+442844881204 and speak to Cara) and costs c£6 per nite per tent.I haven`t used this site and there may be a chance there could be a put in here for direct access into the lough.
For those of you who want more comfort there are B&Bs in Portaferry on the north side--Mrs Adair--+442842 728412,Lough Cowey Lodge(a bit out of town)--+442842 728263 and Fiddlers Green Pub--+442842 728393.
The only problem is the Narrows b`t the campers and the softies which is big and strong and the may play havoc with your drinking time.
Depending on the weather there should be opportunities to go to some of the Copelands, the islands of the inner lough, the Narrows and north/south along the coast.
Where we have the briefing(north side or south side) will depend on the trip(s) so that`ll just have to wait `til next Friday
Any ?s--txt me on +447778763388 or post a query on BB.

Newry, Rathfriland, Castlewellan, Clough, Downpatrick, A25. You can alternatively branch out onto the B8 via Hilltown if you are brave. Have you seen Deliverance?
