Thanks to all for a great weekend. Special mention to Brian F for for pulling an old fella out of the soup. Thanks Brian for a perfect rescue in awkward circumstances. I could say I was testing you all, but. I JUST GOT IT WRONG.

No bother at all Martin. From where I was sitting it didn\'t look like anybody got anything wrong - its all the timing; didn\'t matter who was coming through next. Someones name was written on that wave! cheers, Brian

Before the rumours start...

I have a blistered hand.

It\'s not self inflicted.

I put the side of my hand up againt the sole of Mike McNally\'s runner, which was drying by the fire, to see if it was hot. It was - melted. The melted plastic/rubber stuck to the skin and gave me a good old burn. I\'ve a line of blisters along one side of my hand now, but they\'re not particularly agonizing and should be grand in a few days.

Thanks to Gavan for his first aid.

The lessons here...
- fire is hot
- bring water gel in your first aid kit

Great weekend, thanks to all for coming, and to Mary for orchestrating. Also to Martina for the weather, and to Marie for coming all that way just to say goodbye.

Thanks to all 35 paddlers that made the \'Gola Weekend\' one to remember.

Thanks to Ciaran for the trip planning and to Ciaran, Alan, Margaret, Ricky, Gavan, Neil and many others for their assistance on the water making the trips safe yet challenging for everyone.

It was great to have so many new faces on board also.

Roll on the Symposium

Mary :)
