Northside Weather

Post by robrien » Sat Oct 26, 2013 7:48 pm

Hi,

Useful weather link from a station at the South End of Rush South Beach,

http://www.flexifoil.ie/weather/index.html

Seems reliable, but you will need a Flash \'plug-in\' available from www.adobe.com.

Richard.

There\'s also a link for the \"Real Capital\" :

try http://ei4hq.shacknet.nu/weather/weatherDisplayLive/for Cork Harbour.

The software comes from a New Zealand company, http://www.weather-display.com

Amazing stuff. Very useful. Southsiders contemplating trespassing northside, always a nerve wracking thing that, would find the Rush station very useful. It doesn\'t seem possible to ask it to display as of a time in the past, say yesterday evening at 2000 ? Or does someone know better ?
And, is the Rush station in an exposed location or nicely tucked into a sheltered bay or whatever ?
Same questions re Cork.

I believe the Rush station is on the corner of South Beach and the entrance to Rogerstown Estuary and is considered reliable enough by the local kitesurfers.

Not sure on the historical data, but you can view max/min by month/year etc.
