well, I took your advice and referred to 'The Good Book'. A number of features are consistent with it being Rockall.
Approximately scaling off the man on top, I'd put the height at about 23m - Rockall is about 20m
The visible face is vertical and in sunlight - consistent with the S face of Rockall
The base of the navigation beacon is fairly distinctive and can be seen in some of the few images of Rockall available on the web
The picture is 2nd hand, a photo of an old photo so DW has probably not landed and since few have seen it, it is unlikely to be near the mainland.
The pock-marks are unusual and not mentioned in relation to any other island in 'The Good Book' - a giveaway really

OK, Rockall it is. Well done Gerry Spain. The pock marks were the give away. As was the age of the shot etc?
The lander is the late Pat Colleran, formerly a climber of renown, later John Gore-Grimes' right hand man. He was the only cross pollinated adventurer to sail with Paddy Barry and Gore-Grimes.
And Willy, that wasn't your ROCK at all at ALL. Wakey wakey or what.
