Course pre-requisites:
Recognised first aid award, minimum of eight hours including CPR
Evidence of having attended 4 Star Leader training
Evidence of having attended a one-day coastal navigation training day or equivalent
Previous experience:
Provide documented evidence of a minimum of 10 sea trips each, a min of 4 hours in duration.

Tollymore’s location between Carlingford and Strangford Lough allows us easy access to a number of locations enabling us to select the most suitable conditions on the day.
Achieving your 4 Star is recognition of having the skill level and understanding to lead other competent paddlers on sections of moderate waters.
The 4 Star is an ideal award for those club paddlers who are leading club trips. The 4 Star is also a prerequisite to attending your level 2 coach moderate endorsement.
The assessment will run over two days and most of the on the water activity will take place in a moderate environment.
