Peer Paddle West Side

If anyone is interested in a paddle this coming Saturday, post a reply, text or give me a call 0-8-6 8-2-8-3-2-4-7. Cannot do Sunday, mothers day and all that....

Thinking of Spanish Point / Mutton Isl area, weather permitting etc

Ah well... :sick: I had a good day anyway. I felt very insignificant out there, the swell was pure powerful.....

So much for magic seaweed - over last couple of weeks it has predicted little or no swell. I have never seen such a prolonged period of calm conditions along the west coast.
We were there 3 weeks ago - flat as a pancake. Fickr images link below. You might let us know if you post anything onto your account.

Meeting tomorrow 10ish Spanish Point car park (mind the barrier as you come in!).
Low tide 09.43 - Winds expected NW f2/3 - Swell forecast 2ft - mostly clear but cold.

If conditions are really good and depending on the group, we can consider Mutton Isl. Otherwise, a leisurely paddle around to White Strand and back - with any luck the dolphin might be around and hopefully he will swim with us for a while (charge your cameras up).

Hey Conor.

Many thanks for arranging meet today. Great day\'s paddling.. The weather gods must really like you. Thank god for the dry suit though !!!. The surf in Spanish point will always get you. Working on the vid....its in editing at the moment... !!! Will post when done.

A visit to Mutton Island off the coast of Clare. Cracking day - I can confirm Spring is definitely upon us!!!!
