Lovely. What superb calms you had for a lot of the time - must have been very serene.

Suprised to see no wet session, though?

A very different paddle. With the cold and conditions, there was often an eerie silence about the place.
At the end of almost 2 hours when we got back to the pier, we decided to go back out again because everyone was enjoying it so much. It was at that point we came across the ice and frozen surface.

Wet session - yea, it was discussed at one point and knocked on the head very quickly :silly:Post edited by: conorsmith, at: 2010/01/13 12:18

That\'s nothing. Look what Dave Carraher took NW of Arranmore lighthouse in Donegal where icebergs were reported, and some folks disbelieved, quite openly in fact !

That can\'t be Donegal.....the sun can be plainly seen in that clip. As everyone plainly knows the sun only comes out for two short weeks in Donegal, around late June if I remember rightly. The amount of ice would be about right though. ;)
