Ever wonder where our modern day kayaks come from, or if guillemots can swim with their wings? Want to know how do you tell between a purpoise and a dolphin, a cormorant and a shag, and how to spot the northern star?
…. then come to our Social Quiz night! You’re guaranteed to learn lots, have a laugh, and maybe even win a prize!
What to expect:
Each question is presented with a slide, short video, or an artefact. You will be given a \'bird sheet\' to help with identification questions and a map of Dublin Coast for map reading questions. There will also be 3 guest appearances for questions related to plants, the origin of kayaks, and places to visit off Irish Coasts.
The quizz is aimed at all, young and old, paddlers and friends, beginners and experts..... The focus is not what you already know, but what you\'ll learn on the night!
Is there just a quizz?
No indeed, there will also be some books from the ISKA library available to browse through or take out as a loan.
Anything else?
We are also running a \"photo of the month competition\", and winners will be rewarded this same night. So if you have SEA TOPIC photo that you took yourself and that you think is worth something, then enter it in the competition by emailing it to us (jess_6388AThotmail.com or social@ecskc.eu).
Where and when is this all happening?
Tuesday 29th December in the Club in Dalkey from 7.3Opm onwards.
