East Coast Arklow to Wicklow Sat 21st Mar

Post by EMurphy » Sat Oct 26, 2013 7:49 pm

Hi Folks

I told Julian I\'d step into his shoes for this one...... last time I paddled this section, we had a great day at sea with challenging conditions at both Mizen and Wicklow Head in strong south easterlies.... hopefully it wil be more benign this time.

Meet at the Sailing Club Wicklow Harbour 10am sharp and organize shuttle to Arklow. The plan is then to be on the water in Arklow at 11.30am and avail of an \"assisted passage\" north back to Wicklow. This is a good 22km distance so if you want to just go half way, maybe leave a vehicle at Jack\'s Hole which is probably where we will stop for lunch.

I\'ll post further up to date details re weather etc closer to the date.

In the meantime, have a Happy St. Patrick\'s Day.
Eileen

Green for Go...... arrangements as above...meet 10am at the Sailing Club south side of Wicklow Harbour if you wish to be involved in the shuttle. Weather Gods seem to be smiling ........ light westerly according to windguru so hopefully we\'ll have a good day out.

PS....don\'t forget the sunscreen.

Eileen
