There’ll be time to hike remote, lush arroyos and snorkel in areas that few kayakers ever see. During the trip paddling tuition and advise is offered by Jim and the other instructors. Local guides share their knowledge of the vast bio diverse marine life , the history and the flora and fauna.

ItineraryDay 1
Arrive at Loreto\'s airport where you\'ll be greeted and brought to your hotel near Loreto\'s peaceful, palm-lined waterfront. We will meet with you that evening to plan the upcoming week. Your afternoon and evening are at your leisure to enjoy strolling the plaza around the historic mission, visiting the shops and small restaurants of the town, or perhaps just relaxing by the waterfront.
Day 2
After breakfast a van shuttles us to our launch site at Puerto Escondido. This natural harbor, Baja\'s largest, is 16 miles south of Loreto and located at the foot of the Sierra Giganta mountain range.We\'ll pack our kayaks with our personal gear and make the 8-10 mile journey to Bahia Marquer on Isla Carmen passing by the northern tip of Isla Danzante. Our motorized support boat carries the group commissary, purified water, food coolers and camp chairs
.Day 3-6
After delicious breakfasts of fresh brewed coffee, eggs Mexican style (sautéed veggies, salsa) or cereal, fresh fruit and a baked goodie we’ll paddle each day from 8-15 miles depending on weather conditions.Along the northwestern side of Carmen we’ll spend a night in the historic bay Puerto Ballandra and visit the small fish camp island, Isla Cholla. Heading towards the northern tip we’ll stop off at a white sand beach and explore the beautiful dunes shaped by the wind. The northern section of Isla Carmen brings us along the most exposed coast with its small bays and sea caves. As we paddle around Point Lobos we’ll pass a sea lion colony en route to Salinas Bay and the old salt works. The eastern side of Carmen is stunning and offers greater protection from the north winds. Along one stretch there’s a huge sea cave to paddle in and explore along with fascinating marine terraces that drop vertically into the sea.Lunches will be stops on remote beaches along the paddling route to munch on guacamole, tortillas, queso typico, fresh fruit or quesadillas with all the fixings. After setting up camp in the afternoon your guides will cook you a tasty meal of fish, rice and salad, pasta, or shishkabobs followed by brownies, coffee and kahlua
!Day 7
After an early breakfast we’ll round Punta Baja the southeastern tip of Carmen en route to crossing over to Danzante and back to Puerto Escondido
.Day 8
There is still time for early risers to enjoy one more brilliant sunrise over the Sea of Cortez and the magnificent parade of colors as dawn turns to morning. Then we\'ll pick you up at the hotel and drive you to the airport for the flight to Los Angeles, homeward-bound connections, and your next adventure. Many of our guests decide to stay on and explore more of the Baja Peninsula or take the short plane hop to main land Mexico. Please note: Itinerary is subject to change
