Post by mikemcnally » Sat Oct 26, 2013 7:49 pm

Hi Guy\'s, is there anybody else having the same problem with the bulletin board, no matter how often I read the topics they still stay marked as unread.
Oh my God !! Maybe nothing is getting through. Maybe I\'m cut of from the World...... what am I going to do.....MAYDAY...MAYDAY...MAYDAY...

I assume that you\'re logged in when you read the BB ? The BB tracks who has read what, but if you\'re not logged in then it doesn\'t know who you are and so can\'t say \"you\'ve read this\".

Alternatively could your browser be caching the BB front page ?

It does work fine for me. But I\'m logged in all the time

Hi Ciaran, I\'m not sure what caching is but I\'m logged in. I opened the Synposium 2008 and it opened in a different window, I\'m not sure if it started then, but I\'ve got out of that since. It\'s still the same. No worries it\'ll come right again. Regards.

You know you\'re logged in (Even in a new window), if it says \'Hi...\' at the bottom of the left hand column.

As you say, it\'ll sort itself out, I guess.

Hi Ciaran, I am having the same prob too - thought the kids had downloaded a virus from Big Uns. It started when I opened the symposium link also as it did somthing funny with a link to the Symposium page. F..d the whole thing up to give you a technical description of the problem.

Same problem here but I cleared the cache and it sorted it out... I think it was a dodgy cookie issued by the board with a bad time stamp...
