It seems that maybe not everyone is aware that the work of evolving Oileain as a growing concern is a permanently ongoing affair that never stops. The number of islands constantly creeps upwards and the new material is constantly being uploaded to the oileain webpage and available for free to all concerned.
The practice has always been that when visiting an area, the paddler prints out a section of the text, to be sure that all the latest information for that area is at hand. That way, when gaps are spotted, the paddler will know to forward the info and be forever in our good books.
All contributions are acknowledged.
When Oileain went to press in 2004 there were 313 islands dealt with. When last weekend\'s stuff is processed and uploaded shortly (Whiddy and satellites) there will be 445. Soon Oileain will be half as big again as when it was printed, so relying on the published book is becoming chancy ?
My thanks as always to the most prolific contributor Sean Pierce.
