kokotat neck gaskets ...

Post by mhughes » Sat Oct 26, 2013 7:49 pm

OK - the question I\'ve been dreading to ask since I bought the thing --- anyone know of anywhere in Ireland that can replace a drysuit neck gasket?!

Hate dat ...

try a dive shop though it might be cheaper via UK eg Wet and WIndy in Bristol or the Rubberman in Wales

There\'s always the DIY option - Bostick 2402 adhesive, seam tape and a traffic cone. Both the above places stock the necessary bits. Lomo in Glasgow also supply seals glues etc but I don\'t think they do repairs

Mark, if you go the DIY route, we can provide a Kokatat kit which has all you need. Des

I\'ve done a couple of cuff seals and a neck seal on a dry cag.. and with a little patience, its not too hard to do.

Instead of the traffic cone that Gerry suggests, I\'ve used an upside down saucespan for the neck seal and jam jar for the wrist.

I got the bits and pieces in Great Outdoors but I\'d say Des would be able to source.

If you\'re looking for a pro-job, Jean Brady (based in Shankill, Co. Dublin) does diving drysuit repairs including neck & wrist seals, zip replacement, etc.
Her number is 01 2721255.
