What about - Cost of Medical Bills after you have poisioned yourself

Never mind trying to be green if it\'s your health that could be at stake

Also count the cost to the environment of all that Washing up liquid going down the drain.

so with the money you have potentially saved on the Doctor\'s Bills & Wash Up Liquid I Suggest
- Advertise Your 5L \"Fuel\" can for sale on the BB.
- Buy a flexible water container
- Buy 2 litres of Spirits (Vodka or preferably Whiskey) on the next ISKA meet
and share with all who have given advise in this posting !!

to add my non tech tuppence worth to knotman and d.walsh. I am invoved in the construction of the limerick tunnel, ( ours will be a tunnel not like that massive drive through car wash that you call the dublin port tunnel), which is precast adn then floated out into the river and then it is sunk into a predredged trench in the riverbed. We have to deal with various degrees of salinity in the river at various states of the tide. The calcs for ballast and pumping of tanks are critical and depending on states of the tide can invlve a as much a 550 ton differential in ballasting to maintain equilibrium for each precast unit floated out.
When in holland the fresh water floats on top of the salt water so extreme carre is always required during heavy civils construction and water abstraction for irrigation or domestic that drilling does not go deep.
Anyway i go with daves ansewer c.

Let me get this right - in Limerick concrete floats, and you dig a ditch in a river and then drop this floating concrete into it? Presumably you then pump it out with a team of hereford heifers and light it with bulls**t ?

I sincerely hope that Brussels is paying for this. And for the lighter-than-air motorway bypass, build on pre-seeded clouds....

[quote]Ecology was at the heart of my question - I didn\'t want to add another lump of plastic to the rubish pile.

A new jerry may only take €5 from me pocket but the old can will be in the ground for a very long time!

Thanks to Michael for his comprehensive solution - it\'s pricey being green, but the inflated ego attained from spending €20 and an hours worth of elbow grease to restore the old can to its former state will be a wonderful reward.

I think I\'ll take Dave\'s idea on board, buy 2 bottles of cheap vodka, spend half an hour rinsing the can with the 1st bottle, empty(?), then refill with the 2nd bottle and bring to Bere Island for consumption / use as lighter fluid!

That\'s Recycling!:side:

How do you propose to dispose of the liquid used for washing?

Tie the other end to anything except the can!!! If can with petrol sinks how are you going to get it back? Paul Murphy, mind that fellow at the races! You might even consider tying a string.................................

I was thinking more to an ankle or around a neck.

Admin - this thread is getting too much attention and perhaps should be canned....?

I thought I signed off, with my last post.

The question of what to do with the first litre of Vodka has been asked - The one used to initially \'clean\' the can.

- Guess I\'ll have to bring the vodka/petrol concoction to Bere Island and \'dispose\' of it there (carry out various experiments, study the effects on volunteers, etc!) - best bring a 2nd can filled with vodka only, to study the effects of consumption by a 2nd group of volunteers!!

Any takers for the \'vodka from a petrol can\' ???
