As I won\'t be there on Thursday I would like to pay tribute to Des\' input as our head honcho this last six years. He has always been a right Fecker. His retirement is the end of an era. He dreamed us up and called the inaugural meeting. Initially he did everything, help being at hand as needed. Other officerships changed hands from time to time and my thanks to all of them too, but this is special.
Thanks Des, from everyone.
Last, people shouldn\'t be worried about Clissman taking over. I am sure he will do a grand job altogether. I don\'t care what people say about him, I think he\'s OK.

A fascinating insight for all of us ISKA members into Democracy at work in the Republic of East Coast Paddlers.

Thanks for the celebrity endorsement, Dave. Kennedy eat your heart out. Sadly I\'ve no plans to run.

My apologies. I misread an earlier posting. CC is not the new king. Alan is.
Alan is OK too, so anyway, no harm done.
I think I\'ll shut up now.
