Well, Mr Admin. Whats the little white one under the big white one? (and whats so interesting about its eating habits?) M.
Re:Flower Power
Guessing.
The white cinquefoil one is a saxifrage with eyebrights behind it.
The purple one is insectiverous.

Re:Flower Power
Jasus, Mo, this isn\'t a quiz, it\'s a cry for help.
The little fellas are eyebright. They put suckers onto the roots of other plants and feed off them parasitically.
The big blue lad might be devils bit scabious ?
The \"saxifrage\" ?? I haven\'t a clue of.
Do share your expertise....Post edited by: admin, at: 2007/09/04 23:10

I agree with all the names and suggestions above, especially the \'put us out of our misery bit Mo\'. I include a wee picture taken very far north, looks a bit like me on a bad hair day!!! [img size=2816]

Re:Flower Power
Ok admin, I give up. How do I stick in a flower? Patricia
Re:Flower Power
Purple one. Globularia maritima. (Globe flower)
Second one. Parnassia palustrus. (Grass of Pernassus, Yes, I know. It does not look remotely like a grass)
(Top marks for Euphrasia/parasite).
