Viking Voyage: Denmark to Dublin

Post by smurphy » Sat Oct 26, 2013 7:48 pm

The project to recreate one of five Viking warships found scuttled in Roskilde Fjord has been led by Denmark\'s Museum of the Viking Ship. The voyage from Roskilde to Dublin is the culmination of many years of hard work. The museum will also be tracking the ship\'s progress over the summer.

The ship should arrive in Dublin on August 14th.

There\'s a website detailing their trip:

and there\'s also an article on BBC News which has a graphic of the ship:

and another website covering this:

Yup, it\'s under tow until it reaches Orkney.

Then in 2008 they\'ll be making the return journey where they hope that they will not need a two.
