Wooden kayak owner\'s database

Hi, My name is Etienne Muller. I live near Sneem in kerry. I have been building and using my own sea kayaks for the past thirty years. I hear occasionally about other wooden kayak users around Ireland and thought it may be fun to form a loose affilliation for Informal gatherings (regattas I suppose) from time to time.

I currently have six Sea kayaks of different designs. The latest one is pictured here.

Is there anyone out there who would be interested in adding their telephone number, whereabouts and what boats they may be using to such a list? I would be happy to create a domain for such an association??

Hi Etienne
There is a fellow called Willie Stedmond from near Wexford who has been making wooden boats for a long time but truth be told, he has never really got the hang of it. His offerings look reasonably well but they are very heavy.
I mention him because he will know the other guys about the place who make good timber boats.

Wow, How great to get a reply to my post. I will get back to you on the race. I may get a couple of others to go along too.

Please note. It was not I who made the comment on the weight of willie\'s boats.

Every time my sense of humour gets me into trouble, I wonder at how everyone else is out of step except me.
Anyway, just back from the holliers (great, thanks), a queue of begrudgers tell me not to be getting at Willie Stedmond.
SO, for those who wondered was I being funny peculiar or funny ha ha, my last contribution to this topic was intended to be humorous, spedifically ironic.
To be absolutely clear, Willie Stedmond is a wonderful man with a bit of timber in his hands, none finer.
If onle he\'d ..... (stop, stop)
