Saturday 25 November

Post by ciaranclissmann » Sat Oct 26, 2013 7:48 pm

Hi all,

sorry about late notice.

As scheduled, I\'ll be leading a trip from Bray tomorrow morning. Meet up at 1045, on the water by 11.00.

PLEASE TEXT ME OR RING ME IF YOU INTEND TO TURN UP. IF NO-ONE CONTACTS ME, I WILL NOT BE THERE!! 086 3872261

The forecast is \"Wind: Southeast force 5 or 6 Becoming variable force 3 to 5 this evening and early tonight then southwest to west force 5 or 6 overnight and early Saturday\" so we\'ll adapt to conditions (i.e. make it up as we go along!).

Tide is
Sat 25 Nov
HW LW HW LW
01:57 07:28 14:12 20:01
3.7 m 1.2 m 3.9 m 1.0 m

So LW 0728 means that it\'ll be flooding when we hit the sea, but will hit slacken off and start to ebb by early afternoon. So, if we head to Greystones, it\'ll be against us both ways!

Bring a jacket and a flask - if we do get to Greystones, we\'ll want a cup of tea.

Hi again,

the 6 o\'clock forecast has gone to F6 to F8, so I regret that I\'m cancelling the trip. My apologies to those who hoped to get out.

Seems the forecast was as accurate as ever...

Flat calm, no wind, sunny and crisp...

Lovely trip, had by all that ignored the cancellation!

Typical...sorry about the disappointment for those who looked at the forecast or listened to me. By the next morning, when a window forecast was feasible, I\'d already made joyful DIY commitments (ugh).

Glad some of ye got out anyway.
