I\'m helping out Marie Kelly with a few things for the Symposium. Including the Buy & Sell/Flea Market.

Does anyone have gear they want to trade/sell?

Let me know and I will coordinate from there. This doesn\'t mean I\'m going to man the stand and sell the stuff for you..

However, let me know what you also think about the following:

1. Do you think its a good idea to have this available just at a specific time - such as Sunday Morning?
2. If you have a lot of gear - are you prepared to be at the stand for an hour or so on Sunday morning or whenever we agree to do this?
3. Any other suggestions?

Suggest a max two hour slot. Suggest it\'s in the hours of darkness, so that good paddling or other outdoor time not lost. Sat about seven ?

Suggestions so far are for are for 2 slots. Will post notice when I have a more up to date schedule for the symposium. At the moment ciaran - at 7.00 on saturday - you will be eating!

Hopefully we can arrange a slot on saturday evening and sunday morning.

Am also going to consider a way for people to leave items (if they only have the odd item) with their name and a price on an envelope pinned to the item - but his would mean that the stall is manned and people are happy to do this. Any thoughts? Any volunteers?

I think a display of goods with owners name on it is a good idea and have the \'stall\' where the real \'shops\' are.Then stuff will be secure and no one will miss out on activities or meals (couldn\'t have that!!) .

The Flea Market is scheduled for Sunday Morning after the rolling sessions at about 10.30. It will be located in the main retailers\' section. I will set up a few tables.

If you have a lot of stuff to sell, please also bring yourself as well.

If you don\'t have a lot of stuff ie. just one or two items to sell, and I can arrange to have someone there all the time, I am hopeing that you should be able to leave the items with your name, the price you want, attached to the item on the outside of an envelope. Iff someone buys it you can just pick up your money later.

However, this doesn\'t give you any options to negotiate!
