DONEGAL MEET: West Donegal
WHERE: meet up at the carpark infront of SuperValu, Dungloe (N56 , on right after you pass lake on right, followed by GAA pitch, on right.)
TIME: Saturday 16th,10.00am
FRIDAY NIGHT: camping at Greenes Caravan and Camping Park, Dungloe. Tel: 074 9521021

€16 per 2 adults+tent+car including shower, per night

For Saturday Night, we may camp offshore,weather permitting, on one of the many isalnds off this coast.

Near Dungloe, the place name for the town on signs will be replaced by its Irish name.. An Clochan Liath.

Please post your intention to stay Friday night at the campsite or if you are meeting at the carpark on Saturday morning

Some people have been asking about staying in the hostel in Dungloe. Unfortunately it has closed down. The campsite for Firday night should be much quieter than Achill as it is late in the season for West Donegal holidays.
If anyone is looking for B&B in the area, let me know.

If the weather forecast is bad for the weekend there is a contingency plan tho it means a wee bit of a longar journey but hopefuly the weather will be typical Donegal weather...blue skies, sunny days and balmy evenings!!

Saturday night, the plan is to camp offshore so bring tent etc.

It\'s where the R259 splits west from the main N56 to go to Burton Port (Ferry to Aran Island). Look for Aran on your OS. If you take this grid ref: 54°57\'0\" N 8°22\'0\" W.and put it into \'multimap.com, it\'ll show you what you\'re looking for.Post edited by: pdoyle, at: 2006/09/11 01:27
