East Coast Trip 07 May Bullock

Post by ciaranclissmann » Sat Oct 26, 2013 7:46 pm

Hi all,

this Saturday\'s trip is from Bullock at 10.00

The forecast is rather grim (winds F6/7 from N/NW), so give me a ring (086 3872261) or a text if you want to check the trip is \'on\'.

Or check here.

Hi again,

tomorrow\'s trip is going ahead as planned, 10 o\'clock from Bullock.

The forecast is for W/NW winds, F4-6, gusting higher.
Tide is springs, TD is 3.3m, so a fair amount of water moving around. HW Dublin is 1200 or so. So according to Oileain we should hit Dalkey sound around slack, with the ebb starting thereafter. But Muglins sound should still be flooding. I do wonder abou that...

Anyway, be ready for strong offshore winds and a big tide, with the concomitant likelihood of decent bump off Dalkey, Muglins or both.

Late-night update: Forecast is now for F5-F6 W/NW.

This is pretty strong, and will probably make it a fairly tough paddle. Whether or not we go out will depend on the local conditions, but I\'m optimistic.
