Try Ballyconneely!
Out from the pier ans east is handy, and to the west is a nice beach with islands off to explore. It dries for a long way out sometimes so beware.
Buy Oileain before you go for all relevant detail.
If the party and the day are up to it, it doesn\'t get any better than out towards Slyne Head. Landing is easy on Church Island and often its easy to get out that far.
East of you from Ronstone and further east again are sheltered abays for any weather.
Visit Inishlackan but rounding it can be exposed to big swells.
On the skyine to the south lie Skerdmore / Skerdbeg.

Thanks very much Dave. I don\'t have my own copy of Oileain yet (shame!) but I guess my host Paddy Barry will! Really looking forward to it and thanks for the tips. Alice.

In an effort to stay solvent, I\'m limiting myself to just one new kayaking item per week. Yesterday I invested in a tow-line. All going according to plan, it might be Oileain\'s turn next week!

Once can, incidentally, get the relevant bits of oileain from the link on the left hand side of the screen you\'re reading now.

It\'s not a patch on the fine glossy book, which every paddler should own, but it\'d get you through the weekend.

Alice, great to see you getting a towline. There are plenty of others out there who might follow your example!!

Ciaran :)

thats your official recognition for landing on Foze gone anyway, or was it you, no record anywhere, so maybe it wasn\'t you ...
