Briefing 9:30am Saturday at the campsite.
I’ll post the launch points here after that as some of you may only be travelling in the morning and would prefer to go straight there.
Most likely* is still Cappa and/or Kilbaha.

* subject to change!!

There a triathlon in Kilkee, so best avoided.
Get yourself to Kilrush, then head towards Kilkee, but turn left at Lisheen church. Back road to Kilbaha via Querrinne and Carrigaholt.

Thanks to all who attended. Despite a challenging forecast we had 2 lovely days on the water.
On Saturday 23 paddled, we went from Kilbaha out west for some rock hopping, too big and bouncy at Horse Island to get into the tunnel. (Except for 1, looking forward to hearing more about that experience!)
Short break in Kilbaha, then East into the mist, with the current and wind carrying us nicely along the cliffs. Played a delightful little wave just before lunch in Rinevella „beach“.
On again to Carrigaholt where the sun came out as we approached, carried in on a gentle swell.
Today, 7 of us had a rewarding wet session in White Strand, practicing all sorts of rescues and rolls, accompanied by Dusty the resident dolphin.
Lovely to catch up with you all, looking forward to the next one.

It was a great meet Fiona, thanks for all the time and effort you put in.
Saturday’s trip was great fun, and it really had a bit of everything.
I did a little drive-by of White Strand on Sunday morning to scope it out, but I wished I hadn’t ‘cos I was dying to join in as soon as I saw it, but alas duty called elsewhere.

Anyway, I’m really looking forward to the next Clare meet.
