Re:PEER PADDLE WEST 1st NOV.

Hey all,

Meet at Tracht beach 11am or thereabouts, will see how we go from there. Wind is looking fairly hefty, will decide how we proceed when we are on the beach.

Slan till then,

Gelcoat Repair to Fibreglass Kayaks

Quick Query to all those with glass kayaks ! I\'m changing my boat for a glass one soon. There are a wide choice of colours. However I was told that if you need to repair the gelcoat the colour white is the best option as there is no need to colour match the repair. Is this the case ?. Has anyone a...

Re:Gelcoat Repair to Fibreglass Kayaks

Thanks for the advice lads, it has been very informative and helpful as always.
Preperation is everything as they say.
Therefore I have chosen yellow and white as the colour of my new boat.

I don\'t anticipate putting holes in it anytime soon, but you never know.

Re:McMurdo Fastfind 210 PLB with GPS

<t>This indeed looks like a very promising piece of kit. Locator beacons used to be very cost prohibitive but the price has come down in recent years. The following experience of some Scottish Kayakers highlights the advantages of the \"Fastfind GPS\";<br/> <br/> PLB distress beacon pinpoints distre...

Re:Buying a kayak

<t>Are you saying that 14 foot plastic boats are slow !!!!!. I\'m hurt really I am......! Although it would explain why I had to pop a ton of pain killers after trying to keep up with the group during the Killary Meet !!. That\'s a relief I thought I wasn\'t fit. <br/> <br/> I\'ll have to go looking...

Dolphin in Clare

<t>Hi Gang. It appears that the \"Dusty\" is back in residence off White Strand in Co. Clare. She is an adult female bottlenose dolphin and she has a great affinity for kayaks (thank god). She especially likes to race them, she is also quiet happy to be rubbed, my kids have got up close and personal...
