Donegal - Final Update

<t>It is too windy for the west coast of Donegal. We are going to meet at 10:00 on Saturday morning at Stocker Strand, Ballymastoker Bay near Portsalon (Lough Swilly) for a beautiful paddle. There is a public car park at C 250 380 where we meet. We will have to finalise Sunday\'s paddle on Saturday ...

Donegal meet Sept 1&2, 2012

<t>A quick note about the forthcoming ISKA meet in Donegal. The intention is to have an offshore meet which means we would be camping on an island on the Saturday night. At present the hope to visit the Burtonport/Gola area. As always the weather plays a big role in the finer details of meet plannin...

Donegal update

<t>At the moment it looks quite windy for next weekend in Donegal: force 5 to 7 SW. The meet is to go ahead, bar a hurricane, but just where in the vast county of Donegal is not a decision we can make at this point. A meeting point for Saturday morning will be posted here on Thursday, and it is our ...

Re:Donegal Meet POSTPONED

<t>Mary et al,<br/> as I struggled through the the less than 2km from the south of Rutland Island to Burtonport with a small group this morning (Friday) I was hoping you would postpone this weekend\'s ISKA trip. It would not have been an enjoyable experience. That\'s the way it goes in our game,<br/...

Re:Training

<t>John,<br/> and anybody else. You go ahead and book training through ICU. The ICU website has a sea sub-section in its training section. I\'m not sure if the L5 training is up on it yet. I just highlighted these two courses as sea paddlers tend, I think, to look at the ISKA bulletin board more tha...

Training

Level 3 Sea Instructor training has been postponed from Feb 6th and 7th to April 17th and 18th 2010. East coast.
Level 5 Sea Proficiency training May 15th and 16th 2010. TBC.
So why not up-skill and take advantage of the generous ISKA training grants?

ECSKC pool sessions up-date

<t>Folks,<br/> things ran very well last week. All boats were clean, though a couple of fronds of seaweed were recovered. We must all have bathing caps from here on in. A number of people still haven\'t submitted membership and or ICU details.<br/> I\'m really looking forward to Alan\'s aerobics ses...

ECSKC pool sessions

<t>Come to our pool sessions to learn or practice all of those manoeuvres where you\'ll either likely or intentionally get wet, in the warmth and comfort of a brand new indoor swimming pool! Pool sessions are often used to learn and/or practice rolling a kayak, but they\'re also great to practice ot...
