Streamstown 2018 - Weekend 5th 6th May
Hi gang,
It's that time of year again.
The first meet of the year. An opportunity to shake off the winter blues and to reacquaint yourself with your fellow ISKA paddlers.
Kris at Actons campsite looks forward to welcoming you all over the May weekend.
Details here ; http://www.actonsbeachsidecamping.com/
Camper vans also welcome.
As usual your culanary requirements will be met by Chef Peter and Dave. All they ask in return is a donation to the RNLI. The food will be served as always Saturday evening and will cater for all palates. After dinner entertainment will probably involve slack lining again so don't over indulge. Trust me.
Tepee tents will be provided for late group discussions. All centrally heated of course for your comfort.
Paddles will be organised over the weekend.
They will be customised to weather and the ability of the participants. Briefing will be Saturday morning at the tepee tents 1000hrs.
All paddlers must sign in at the briefing.
Any questions queries please don't hesitate to post here and I'll endeavour to answer them quickly.

T-Minus 4 weeks and counting.
We had a terrible weather forecast last year but still went ahead and we ended up with wonderful weather as seen in picture below taken Sunset on beach.
Streamstown always delivers.

If you are a member of ISKA please please ensure that your Sub for the year is paid. It's only 20 quid. You can renew here ; https://members.iska.ie/
Like Santa I'll have my list.. and I'll be checking twice.
Much appreciated.

T-Minus 1 week.
Long range weather forecast is looking very promising. Check back with this forum Wednesday for final go ahead.
Barring a Red Weather Warning or Locusts we should be good to go.
Don't worry Dave for inspiration see pic below.
It'll be grand

HOUSTIN WE ARE GOOD TO GO.
Weathers looking very pleasant for the weekend sunny and most importantly dry.
Temperatures 13 to 16deg so dress warmly both in and off the water. There will be wood stoves in the tepees for comfort and to warm up after paddle.
For dinner Saturday Black Tie is optional.
Bring your own plate and utensils and most importantly a contribution for the RNLI.
Drive safe !!!
See you all over the weekend God willing.
