Valley - kayaks which will no longer be built

Post by DesKeaney » Sat Oct 26, 2013 7:51 pm

Valley are streamlining their range which means the following models will no longer be available from the end of the month:

o Pintail, both keyhole and ocean versions
o Aquanaut, all Composite Models Std, LV & HV
o Aquanaut RM, LV & HV versions (all plastics)
o Q-Boat
o Nordkapp Classics (old HM & HS versions)

The moulds will be destroyed next month . These boats can be ordered up to 31st of August.

Des,

Any idea what the thinking is behind that decision - on the Aquanaut models in particular?

Do you know if this will affect the future availability of parts such as skeg system it hatch covers?

They\'ve been introducing new models over the last number of years. The Etain is now their best seller and they\'d see it in the same segment as the Aquanaut. The Aquanaut Club will still be available but not the Enthusiast versions.

The skeg systems are updated every so often anyway John and they keep parts for years. For example, the skegs on the early Aquanauts were quite different to those on more recent boats and the parts are still available.
