kayak surfing

anyone got any tips on using a kayak for surfing?

Hey Mick,

I have a feelfree nomad sit on top (cue lots of groaning from \'real\' canoeists), intend to do it sitting down and hopefully more in the seat than a lá carl farmer! Christened the boat the other day and found there was lots of surf so instead of just paddling up and down as intended got caught up in a few of those \'yeahhhhh, g-force wind-in-hair\' moments! Also, predicatably, had a few bongo (or \'holy ****) moments where a few sets came in and i got ejected pretty unceremoniously. Anyhow, it gave me a taste for the surfing end of things, went to that site last night actually, and found some others, very good but a lot of it is techie-speak... have no surfing background whatsoever!!

So if there\'s any recommendations for any good resources with very simple instructions for the great unwashed that would be great!! Till then, I\'ll be in working it out!

By my reckoning that was a quick one-two from Carroll causing a bit of cursory damage on Farmer. And a whopping great upperhook from Farmer on Caroll. Thats blood on Carroll\'s T-shirt I think ...
