Spinal Injuries Association

Post by michellegranaghan » Sat Oct 26, 2013 7:46 pm

The Spinal Injuries Association of Ireland are running days throughout the country for local people with spinal injuries to try out kayaking. They are looking for people who would be happy to go to the lake/ river for one day in their area and give a hand. Speaking from experience and having spent 8 days with this gang kayaking down the Shannon, it will involve lots of laughing, a bit of kayaking, some lifting and a lot of craic.

The days will obviously be held on still water and will introduce new people to kayaking. The experienced paddlers who are in wheelchairs will be there to give the specific advice that they will need. Anyone interested please send me an email with your name and area you paddle in and you will be sent back details of when stuff is going on in your area.

Thanks

Michelle
