Could you give me directions to the B&B/camping and/or grid ref. please?
What\'s the norm. for food provision whilst camping on Rathlin? Should I bring stove and food? Is it every (wo)man for themselves? I notice there\'s a pub on the map, but could be some way from camping depending on plans.
I\'m planning to be there Fri night thru\' to Sunday evening.

I\'d love a lift Martin but it\'s a bit out of your way. Anyway, I\'d miss my flight.....

Hi,
I think Julian also asked for directions, and not sure if someone responded directly to him? In any case, can anyone either email me or post directions (travelling from Dublin) please.
Also, I know it is all weather dependant and tbd on the Saturday - but can anyone suggest if the Rathlin trip is really only for Level 4 or what; assuming the weather is marginal or fair on the day? And if its good going over - how do we handle getting back if the weather turns the next day (?) for return?
Many thanks,
Dermot

From Dublin take M2 from Bfast. Turn off after Antrim Hosp for Ballymena. Stay on dual cgway at Bmena for Ballymoney. Take 2nd roundabout at Ballymoney for Portrush. Pass thro Ballybogey for 2 miles to turn right for Bushmills/ Causeway. In Bushmills town the Bushmills Education Centre is on the left opposite the Chapel on bend. It has a green copper tower and a long frontage with low railings. B and B includes cereal and toast and quilts, pillows and sheets are provided @ £15 per person per night. Camping is £5.
The plan is to paddle the Causeway Coast which can include Rathlin for those more able paddlers and obviously the weather will dictate a lot. It is possible to camp on Rathlin in the settlement at Church Bay where there are public toilets ar on the more remote NE corner and then walk through in to the pub as in previous years. There is a regular ferry for those to escape if weather is severe. I am happy to provide advice and guide some trips to let folk get the best from the area. There is no shortage of day and half day trips possible and good surf for sea kayaks. Looking forward to seeing you lot up here. My mobile no 07803170157. I will be at BEC from 7. Safe journey Robin
