Hi Folks,
I am organising a kayaking based team challenge event at the symposium in Dungarvan this coming October 9-11.
I am looking for some volunteers to act as Team supervisors
Essentially the role is to
- accompany the team through the various Kayaking related challenges
- Issue the challenges to the team at the appropriate time/location
- Act as back-up guide/navigator & co-ordinate with the challenge supervisor (me)
To allow for safety on the water the team supervisor would need to have
- Training equivalent to ICU Level 4 Sea proficiency or BCU 4* Sea Proficiency
- Safety equipment such as VHF, Flares etc
- be competent in rescue etc.
Also looking for some volunteers for a couple of land based challenges
such as First Aid and Kayak Field repair.
the Team Challenge is intended to last between 3-4 hours - so taking a morning or afternoon activity session
