Looking for paddlers around Naas/Dublin area

Hi everybody,
I recently moved from Cork to Naas and now once I have settled in and gotten my hands back on a sea kayak, I\'m looking to return on the sea (or even Blessington lake) for some paddling. Are there any peer paddles that I could join from time to time?

You can join the East Coast Sea Kayaking Club, www.ecskc.ie regular paddles at weekends and midweek in summer

Also, just to mention, you need a permit to paddle on Blessington Lake. I think the ESB run things there.

Thanks for the advice. I already got a permit from ESB, I looked into it when I found out I\'ll be moving to this area.

Regards to ECSKC, I was hoping to get in touch with some sea kayakers and go paddling without joining another club (I\'m a member of two clubs already).

For the record there are a few sea kayakers in and around Kildare going by the account names such as Chancer and Knotman.

Some SLCC paddlers also appear at ECSKC/ISKA events and attend sea races.

If sea racing interests you, I hope to run at least one race on the east coast this year.

Thanks Michael, that\'s great. Really looking forward to the new racing season. Hopefully me training on flat water for the last couple of months won\'t go against me and I will catch up with the waves soon :laugh:
