A sea kayak race - around 23Km - from Portaferry to Newtownards Sailing Club is being organised by Belfast Kayak Club. This will have full safety support. Start Portaferry around 11.30 and paddle with the tide up the eastern shore of Strangford Lough. Race rules available soon from www.belfastkayakclub.co.uk
This race is open to all (minimum of 14ft, cck, safety rules). Entry fee to cover support costs, after race snack and RNLI contribution.
Newtownards Sailing Club has offered space for tents etc. or you can sleep inside the clubhouse.
