The event organisers Website is as follows:

www.oceantocity.com

Race entry forms are available on line.

The following are some answers to questions that were raised in the last few weeks:

• Insurance: If you pay an additional €10 on entering you will have local insurance for the event. This is the way to go. Proof of your own insurance will be required plus a letter from the Insurance Company absolving the Ocean to City organisation of responsibility.
• Race Class’s for Kayaks: Two class’s, Sea Kayak and Racing Kayak. Boats less than 50cm in width and/or over 18ft in length will be in the faster class or Race Kayak class. Boats greater that 50cm and/ or less than 18ft will be in the Sea Kayak class.
• Exceptions will be made on race day ………….. for example, some of the non standard self builds or less common boats will be classified on race day. WW racers will be in the faster class.

Race entry will need to be made in advance to ensure entry. Insurance to compete will cost you €50 if you select to enter on the day.

The objective is to get as many Kayak’s as possible on the water for this event and for everybody from the racers to the fun paddlers to have a positive, enjoyable experience.

Party is on after the event plus various entertainment and street market at the finish for the race followers.

Note: This race is not suitable for K boats. Anyone wanting to enter in a K boat will need to be of known competence or prove themself competent on the day!
The final say on entry to the event will lie with myself for anyone wanting to enter in a K Boat.

Thanks
