Quiz for RNLI - Thanks

A huge \'thank you\' to everyone who contributed so generously last night. A total of €4881 has been collected/promised on the night and with a couple of other special donations, the total is €5881.
So well done, ye were great!
A couple of people deserve special mention...
Sarah Murphy whose infectious enthusiasm cajoled such wonderful prizes from so many contributors. There were thousands of euro\'s worth and hopefully most people got something. Well done Sarah.
We had hoped for 20+ tables and got over 40. This is thanks mostly to the enthusiasm and threats of Dave Carraher, ably assisted by his wife Evelyn (without threats!). The turnout was magnificent - good on ya Dave.
The Quizmaster Supreme, David Walsh. DW had been asked to make it kayaking orientated and had to substantially change track with only a couple of days to go. Thanks for that and keeping us entertained for the evening.
There were lots of other people who made the evening such a success.
Carl Farmer who did so much printing and coordinated with the RNLI and who was the inspiration behind the whole thing.
Scorekeepers Orla Walsh, Colm Blennerhasset and Justin Walsh.
Marie Keaney who made so many phone calls to encourage people to come.
Answer sheet hustlers, Paul Butcher and Sheila Walsh.
Sonja Ewen and others who collected so much in raffle tickets (around €1500).
Well done everybody. We hope to present the final amount to the RNLI in Dun Laoghaire, possibly on Monday week, the 12th March.
