Loop Head/Kilkee Meet Weekend June 8th
Posted: Sat May 25, 2019 9:47 am
How's everyone ?
Well we've had Streamstown and Dingle now onto the cream of the crop County Clare.
Our base for the weekend will be Pure Camping outside Kilkee - see link ; https://purecamping.ie
This is a superb camp site with all the facilities.
Both for real camping enthusiasts and those who aren't (people who drive campervans).
They also have glamping facilities, yurts and such like and also American Indian style sweat tents ... perfect after a few Jameson's.
Trea and Kevin will be there to welcome you.
There's a special rate for ISKA members so please be sure to have your sub paid before rocking up to avail of it. Give Trea a shout if you wish to book a slot. See website for contact details.
Options for the weekend are varied and are weather dependant. We have the Iconic Loop Head from Kilbaha to Bridges of Ross.
We have the stunning coast from Kilkee to Goleen. Caves Arches galore.
Bad weather options include Scattery Island and a little secret little known - Camp Shannon.
The only fortified Fort and bunker complex built during WW2 by the Irish Army. It is inaccessible from the road so it is very rarely visited.

I will firm up details closer to the meet.
There are wonderful restaurant and pubs in the area. Please post here if interested as its good to get a grasp on numbers.
Looking forward to it.
