Whirlpools vs Kayakers

A climbing friend tells me of being absolutely blown away by the big whirlpool he could see at Fair Head in Antrim while looking down from on high!!
Upon being asked if they were dangerous to sea kayakers, my reply was "always".
Calling on Mick Carroll to recount the story of the one we scraped by on the corner of Innistruhall awhile back. Thanks Mick .
Perhaps a list of hot-spots on our coast from witnesses' would be useful. Any other stories folks??? Sennen
