I just received the attached.
Anyone who grabs Tara on her Dublin visit would get a great lecture I am sure.
Some of that archipelago is at 80+ degrees north and serious bear country.
Quite apart from the céad míle fáilte ?

Tara has just successfully completed the sea kayak circumnavigation of the Svalbard Archipelago in the Arctic Ocean, a world first. She did this with another Kiwi called Jamie Sharp and a Norwegian PG Porsanger. Their website is

Tara's email address is nztara1@gmail.com Tara does not know anyone in Ireland and it would be nice if some Irish sea kayakers met her on her visit. You will have to make contact as she is not likely to court any publicity. Her book is "A winter Paddle", a great read.

Great Outdoors and East Coast Sea Kayak club are hosting host Tara Mulvaney's "Ice Bears and Islands" talk.

When? Wednesday the 25th Nov at 7pm
They need to know the numbers so you must reserve your tickets on their web site in advance. They will be advertising the event to the public. So book early. I will post here again when the tickets are available.
The feedback from Tara's presentation inTollymore was excellent so it should be a very good night.
Cost €5 - pay at the door. Proceeds to Movember - supporting men's health.
