Hi all,
new here from the Roscommon region and would love to join in on this trip, the area looks spectacular and i would love the opportunity to spend the weekend with ye and make a few contacts to try and get out sea kayaking in a bigger way.

If someone here could let me know that its alright for me to come along asap so i can make arrangements, that would be great thanks.

Regards

Aiden

If there's any paddling to be done on Friday, I'll be there and then camp, just the one night though, homeward bound Sat afternoon :(

The RV will be at the campsite @ 09.30 Saturday.
Can everyone please be ready to leave immediately after that as we`ll want use the last of the tide.
For Friday night arrivals,as an alternative to camp food, I`m told these places serve food:-
Whitehead Golf Club are happy to welcome all attending the ISKA meet to the club house, just 5 minute drive from the campsite. Prices seem very reasonable. Check out the website, require just smart casual dress code.

Also another alternative is the Bentra Grill just over 5 minute drive and again reasonably priced eating establishment.

I was speaking to the campsite owner this morning...he told me there is very large sign at end of his lane with the legend "Ford Farm " so it`ll be easy to find.

The forecast for Saturday is grim @ best with F6 gusting 7 & the Gobbins are not good in grim weather.
Unfortunately there is no Plan B as the whole of the east & north coast is showing the same forecast.
Having discussed with Trish regretably we`re left with no alternative but to cancel the meet which is a pity as I was looking forward to catching up with people & meeting new paddlers.
`til the next time...

Shoot Ricky, had the bags packed, could almost taste the Ulster Fry, could even hear the strains of The Auld Orange Flute ringing in my ears. Is it cancelled or just deferred. No Surrender!!

Chancer... could always come up for a downwind blow in Strangford Lough...(* well on friday)

Though I might opt for pick g up the pieces in Newtonards... might be a bit meaty for me!
