Thanks for posting this Sennen. I was on Inishkea South that day (green jacket on the beach as the boat pulls in - scouting out the new bothy, Conor!)

My first time on the island, travelling on the same boat that brought the RTE crew, but all the way down the coast from Broadhaven and back. Skippered by Gerry Reilly, whose family came in off the island in 1932. Magical coast, and would fill you with yearning to get on the water - roll on Symposium.

I had my copy of Oileain with me and it\'s commentary on the Island was of interest to all. David Cabot, the naturalist, is spending a year on the island, and he also had lots to say. And to round it off had the sweetest, clearest poitin I\'ve ever tasted.
