Hoping to paddle Sunday 10th Galway/Clare area. Couple of newbies in tow so nothing too hectic. Either Kinvara Bay or Killeenaran Quay and out and about Eddy Isl.

Anyone interested in joining, post reply or text I will confirm final details once decided.

Sounds good Conor. Can\'t paddle inland anymore due to lakes being iced over.
Let me konow departure time and location. I\'ll bring the brandy.....medicinal purposes only !!

Suggest we stick with Kinvara for Sunday. Weather is not expected to pick up, so no point sending people down ice covered back roads.

Meet at the slip in Kinvara at 11.00 - high tide 1.25ish. Plenty of warm clothes and hot drinks (Brian has offered to supply the brandy).

Will concentrate on a little seal watching and if we are lucky perhaps a sea otter or two as well. No wet sessions this time, I promise!

See you then

Conor

NB - weather forecast for Kinvara on Sunday is for temperatures to remain around zero with NE winds F3/F4 which will make it feel colder still. While we are paddling in a sheltered area, it is still very important to dress well and ensure you have a warm drink(s). Please read Alan Horner\'s recent topic \"Paddling in Cold Weather\" on the BB under Meets.

A bit of a work out will get you heated up in no time! I am certainly looking forward to getting out and see you there. Any questions, post reply or give me a call 0-8-6 8-2-8-3-2-4-7.Post edited by: conorsmith, at: 2010/01/09 01:25

Hope the pic comes out. Many thanks Conor for leading today in Kinvara. Very enjoyable.....it\'s not often that you can paddle through ice and snow in Ireland. Although anyone saw us come back in must have thought that we had lost the plot altogether.

Slan till next time. Mac B)

Try stabilizers and make sure you have a hard plastic boat!
