Things are looking good for this weekend weatherwise. Would people prefer Sunday over Saturday? It suits me better and I would happily chage it if people want. I am very much an instinctive democrat, as anyone will tell you.
The flood Saturday is north-going until about 1400 so (either day) a southerly set off point is suggested. Lets say meet Donabate Martello Tower at 1000 for 1100 on the water. Does anyone know the parking arrangements there, are they handy enough for a group?
If we opt for Sunday, it would all be an hour later.

The parking is good at the Martello tower at Donabate beach You can drive down onto the beach or there is parking for about 20 cars beside the tower and at the hotel. Unfortunately I can\'t make either Sat or Sun

If their bringing starting guns we\'ll give Mick Carroll a ring and he can send us real guns.

Saturday it is so. 1000 for 1045 set off. There may be a carry for the put in, but the tide will be high when we are finishing, If we get away promptly, the yachts will be a mere distraction, a colourful spectacle to seaward of rockhopping kayaks. If we have to pass through them we can stay tight, and remember never pass in front of them yokes. They haven\'t nearly as much control over speed or steering as appears to others. A sudden gust and they slice you in two, so remember, lets be careful out there.
