ISKA 2020

Post by Chris McDaid » Thu Jan 09, 2020 11:09 pm

All,

The Committee are gearing up for the year ahead and are in the process of finalising the meets calendar. We also intend to continue to subsidise training courses (both ISKA informal courses & CI/BCU training and assessments undertaken by members). In order that this may continue, the Committee have taken the decision to increase the membership fee to €30 for individual & €50 for couples living at the same address. The membership fee has been static for around 15-20 years and we feel that the increase is necessary in order for us to continue subsidising everything that we do.

As always prompt renewal is very much appreciated.

Membership payable via https://members.iska.ie

Draft meets calendar is as follows

March 14th - 17th, Anglesey - Dave Conroy (numbers will be limited for this and Dave will post details in due course. Keep an eye on the meets section of the forum).

1st - 4th May, Streamstown - Dave Glasgow & Peter Hennessen

23rd - 24th May, Cork/Kerry - Steven Darby

June 12th - 14th, Achill Island - Colin Francis

4th - 5th July, Northern Meet (venue to be announced) - Vernetta Hillen

25th - 26th July, Kerry (Derrynane) - Fiona Trahe

11th, 12th & 13th Sept, Dublin -Dave Conroy **this meet coincides with the Liffey Descent and there will be a limited number of river boats available for would be participants

2nd - 4th October, Annual Symposium, Dungarvan - Brian McMahon & Chris McDaid

We have left August free to facilitate the Big Paddle 2020

See you on the water.

Cheers
Chris McDaid - Chair/Acting Secretary
