'BBQ' at Streamstown

Post by johnd » Tue May 03, 2022 8:26 am

I recently described the ISKA meet at Streamstown as the 'symposium' in tents. For me, it is primarily a social event with some sea kayaking thrown in for good measure.

Dave Glasgow and Pete Hennesen (with the help of others) have been providing a 'BBQ' at the ISKA meet at Streamstown for many years. This BBQ is used to raise funds for the RNLI. This year €1400 was raised.

For me, this is the heart-and-soul of the weekend. The food is great, the atmosphere (despite the weather at times) is great, and the company is the best.

Without their considerable efforts, the weekend would not be the same. I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Dave, Pete and all who help them.

They have asked for help with the BBQ next year. If you would like to get involved, please contact them. If you need contact details, send me an email.
