Greetings fellow kayakers !

Spring has sprung (kinda) !
Streamstown Meet fast approaches on the May bank holiday weekend 29th April - 2nd May.

We have secured Actons campsite as always.

https://clifdenecocamping.ie/

There is a special rate for ISKA members at the weekend.
€10 per person per night. That’s whether it’s tent or van. Although if you want a hookup (electric) it’s €5 per night extra and you’ll need to book with Kris at Actons campsite Clifden directly to secure a spot (limited).

Also Peter and Dave will once again be providing food on the Saturday evening. All they ask in return for their culinary expertise is a cash donation to the RNLI.

Registration will be open for the meet last week this month. Please ensure your annual membership is paid up for 2022.

There will be trips to cater for all levels.

I will keep you posted until then !

Meets Officer

Hi All,

Hope everyone is well healthy and happy.

Fill in the form.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS ALSO A COME AND TRY IT MEET That means it is open to those you already have their own sea kayaks and kit and have never before attended an ISKA meet. You can come to Streamstown to see what we are about. This does not apply to lapsed members (you already know what your getting into 😂)

Make sure you fill in the email address in particular as I will need to respond to that address with the access code to the barrier at Actons Campsite.

Also Peter and David’s culinary delights doesn’t come cheap !!! Michelin Star cuisine costs !!
All monies goes to the RNLI so be generous.

Do we need to book the campsite seperately or is this going to be done in bulk by the ISKA organizers?

Hi Colin,

You only need to book separately if you have a camper van and are looking for a hook up 👍👍

Thanks Mac, appreciate that. I have a van but don't need a hookup so I'll just go with the ISKA booking.

Thanks,
Colin

Hi, as this is my first ISKA meet to attend, just wondering is Friday a 'find your space and set up' day or is there a paddle on the cards too? Also, is there any restrictions on what time are we allowed to enter the camp site?

Thanks in advance and sorry for the noob questions
John

Hi John et al,

Friday is indeed get settled day. Although consult with Kris at the campsite before you pitch. There are spots held for other campers.

There are always some peer trips on the Friday. Rock up at your own time suss out who’s doing what and head out.

I will be emailing everyone who registered with the barrier code for the campsite tomorrow Wednesday.

The forecast looks absolutely perfect for kayaking so I’d expect everyone whose registered to come.

There are big numbers expected so arrive as early as possible.

There will be trips to cater for all levels.
BRIEFING WILL BE AT ISKA BELL TENT SATURDAY MORNING 1000hrs.

Look forward to seeing you all there.
Drive safe.

Mac
