All,

Just a reminder that our next meet is Carlingford and it may be advisable to sort out accommodation ASAP as the meet is during the height of the holiday season

Launching point is Rostrevor slipway 2 minutes from the campsite 3 miles from the hostel except for the coastal paddle from Annalong where a shuttle will be necessary but we can utilise the club trailer if we need to.

Paddles to include
Coastal trips along the south Down coast:
Annalong to Greencastle into the Lough passing the Haulbowline light house
https://www.youtube.com/watch?…
Along the Lough coast taking in the views of the Mourne and the Cooley mountains
Across the lough to Carlingford and Greenore
https://www.youtube.com/watch?…
More sheltered paddle – Up into the estuary towards Newry past Narrowwater keep

There is also an orienteering session in the mix for those who want it.

Accommodation:
Kilbroney Camp site Rostrevor

https://visitmournemountains.campmanage ... bility.asp

Kilbroney Park, Rostrevor is situated in a stunning location, where mountain, sea and valley create a scenic wonderland. Overlooking Carlingford Lough these 97 acres of beautiful parkland nestles within the shadow of Slieve Martin and the Mountains of Mourne.

What we have to offer

We provide 51 fully serviced sites, of which 16 of these are soft standing and 20 grass tent spaces. The 16 soft standing serviced caravan pitches are located at the bottom end of the Caravan Park below the toilet & shower block. We also have a laundry room, playgrounds, tennis courts, BBQ area and Outdoor Fitness Zone. Our reception and visitor centre provides visitors with suggestions and brochures on places of interest to visit and things to do in the local area. We have a cafe on site.

The Great Outdoors

There are many places to visit and things to do in the local area, including hiking to the Cloughmore Stone, a visit to Ross Monument, a walk along the Fairy Glen and the Narnia Trail or a cycle on the Mountain Bike Trails. Please enquire at the campsite reception for more information on these and other activities.

Booking Information

To check availability and book please use our online system. If you wish to deal with us direct please contact Kilbroney Park Reception Tel: 028 4173 8134.

We strongly advise booking in advance to avoid disappointment.

Kilbroney Park is open:

Thursday 14 March to Monday 18 March (inclusive)
Friday 22 March to Saturday 23 March (inclusive)
Friday 29 March to Saturday 30 March (inclusive)
Friday 5 April to Saturday 6 April (inclusive)
Friday 12 April to Sunday 3 November (inclusive)
Full payment is required at the time of making a booking. We are charging £23.20 per night for a caravan/motor-home/trailer tent/tent with electric hook-up. These must all be booked on to a serviced bay. Non-electric tent spaces are £18.50 per night.

A Swipe Card is necessary to gain access to the toilets, shower block and also the barrier. The Swipe Card is available at Reception and a £20 cash refundable
deposit is required on collection of the Swipe Card.

Please note that the caravan park is located on the side of a mountain and that pitches are not level and for this reason we do not charge for awnings. It may be necessary to use levelling blocks on our pitches – these are not provided.

The online booking system will allow touring customers to select their own numbered site from a drop down menu of available sites, when making their booking.

When making a tent booking, the booking system will automatically allocate a site if there is availability and customers will be able to select their own site on arrival as there are no numbered tent sites only designated tent areas.
