Thank you Ciaran (and Alan / Martin / Trisha / Conor / everyone else who helped out or was just there). Killary was a great weekend, a fitting start to the ISKA season for many of us. Despite our attempted invasion of the Streamstown area, looking forward to the rest of the meets.

Just regarding the sheep rescue on Crump Island - two local sheep farmers informed me that getting the sheep back on its feet was the right thing to do and that \'\'it was only time before the crows would have got to her\'\'. So well done to the ISKA Sheep Rescue Team, who will be in great demand around the islands of Ireland, once word gets out of course.

And of course thanks to all who organised the trip. It is a fantastic location with great paddling.

Thanks to all who attended - I thought it was a pretty enjoyable weekend, despite the wind on the Sunday. Streamstowners will be pleased that we failed to steal their venue, despite my best efforts!

And thanks to front-men (Niall and Trish), back-men (Alan and Conor), side-men (Graham and Conor) and others (everyone) who made leading the trip easy.

And again to Niall and Rachel for setting up the accommodation side of things.

Thanks again Ciaran and to anybody else that made it happen. It was a great weekend. Sorry I won\'t have any good photo\'s to show this time , as F5 gusting to 6 plus hangover made me feel a little bit tippy or is that TIPSY. but I think Navarat may have it covered. Well done...

Great place, paddle etc Great week end it was, thanks all for all the organising leading sheparding mentoring etc. didn\'t do the sunday paddle but I sure it was great too.
Somebody left a water - I assume - bag on my boat and as everybody was gone I still have it. Please let me know who you are if you lost one. I could bring it to Streamstown(?).
Cheers

Thanks to everyone who made my first meet very enjoyable. Although in hindsight I maybe should have gone with the second group on Saturday. I had to dig deep to make the last lap up the fjord. Very enjoyable experience though. Thanks again to Cieran and to Niall who shepherded me home. Took some video of the day and posted it to youtube - Enjoy !! Mac

Thanks eveyone for good company and another brilliant week-end with ISKA, special thanks to Ciaran, Niall, Martin G, Trish, Mike McN, Alan, Mary and especially Maurice Maxwell and Sonya who led me to the group when I was lost.
Also thanks for my birthday card/present/kiss from A... when it was not even my birthday.

Good video from Brian MacM, well done, the camera was not lost at County Mayo shore

Thanks to everyone, but especially Ciaran, for making the Killary meet so great.
Here are a few photos of Saturday\'s trip, though none are classics.

Nic: we misplaced a 1l platy. If the water bag you found meets that description, could you bring it to Streamstown. I\'d be most grateful.

The rest of you: no doubt you\'ve read the minutes of the Jan committee meeting and so know that I\'ve volunteered to help Ivan by persuading folk to write up descriptions of ISKA meets for TnaD. To get the ball rolling, I\'ll write something on Saturday\'s Crump/Inishdegil trip. Would someone else write something short on Saturday\'s Ballynakill trip, or whatever you got up to (on the water) on Sunday? Also, a good/funny photo or two would be useful.
For tips on how to write such a piece, have a look at the guidelines given by Ocean Paddler: See

Niall.
