Anglesey - 'eastern seaboard meet' :)

Post by DaveConroy » Tue Jan 14, 2020 1:27 pm

The queries :?: are coming in thick and fast, so apologies for the delay, I'm a little under the weather (head not peaking thru the clouds) at the moment. Here follows a sketchy outline of something loosely resembling a plan...

Image

Ynys Môn (Anglesey), an island just (100km) off the east coast of Ireland... world renowned as training ground to BCU leaders, for its overfalls, tide races, conservation areas, rocky shorelines, pristine beaches, the South Stack, the Menai Straits, Penrhyn Mawr, so much to choose from, small enough to travel across in a short time and an island big enough to be a 'near perfect all weather paddle destination' . https://seakayakingwales.com/tag/south-stack/

So far we have 6 signed up for this trip, one car and one campervan, room for 2 more little ones in the car. I have reserved the 10 bed Ty-Pen chalet, annexed to the dorms and main centre at https://angleseyoutdoors.com/ and this will serve as HQ for the duration. There's plenty room for more to join us but please let me know soon as poss, to aid logistics planning, car-pooling etc.

Questions, questions, questions...

So who wants to come?
Who's prepared to drive?
How many boats /people can U take?
